I didnt read the text yet, but there is so much speculation about the car i try not to believe everything i hear. Certainly starting to look like a production ready car this is the most undisguised car i have seen so far.

Yes, I'm taking that text with a pinch of salt. If this is Lotus' VVA, that contradicts the reports that suggest it's based on a lengthened Elise chassis. VVA seems not to rely on the big chassis members that the Elise does (it's not very versatile if the only cars you can make require you to clamber over huge sills). It has also been suggested that the coupe is a stopgap model whilst the Esprit is being developed, and a true mid-range vehicle will be produced later - which suggests this is Elise based.

Who knows? No doubt we'll find out soon enough.

Interesting that the patent office design was registered in Lotus' name originally but that it was transferred to Proton in January this year. That does kind of indicate that either it's not meant to be a Lotus or that they are indeed planning to sell the company off and want to keep the design rights.
