Well we survived our trip to Snetterton great fun, but I need to know if the times where OK or totaly pathetic and my old gran should have taken to the wheel, best was 1min 29 several at 1 min 30 and a few bad ones (not telling you) What sort of times should a 111s get round the old airfield?

I’d say that was pretty good, the best I’ve managed in my 135R (which has sticky A048 tyres) is 1:27. A professional driver took my car round in 1:25.

Cool, I've got something to aim for when I take the Elise out to Snetterton! Does anybody know if lap times / records are recorded for Snetterton or any other tracks? I'd be interested in a record lap per stock car type - e.g. standard 111R / 111S etc etc

Should have mentioned two adults, not sure if that makes a difference? Can not wait to do it again, new tyre being fitted Thursday.

Yeah, it will have done... So you'd be even quicker if you ditched the passenger - looks like your time was good...

Crikey!! I will have to go on a serious diet and chop of a couple of limbs to get anywhere near that! Or could treat the charriott to some bits and pieces for some more bhp? and perhaps a few laps with an expert..........um what to do!

Well if it's a track day you shouldn't be timing laps - if you get caught it'll be a slapped wrist at the very least.

Mr Scuffham, I don't think your time quite counts

You don't get off that lightly... I wouldn't expect to be much more than 2 secs adrift of those times in my road car.

It does have a Honda engine in it though

You co-drive with Mr Scuffham, right?

Is a road car (presumably on 48s) really only 2 secs down on the race car (presumably on slicks)?

Yes, I drive with Simon. It would be ~2 secs down on the same tyres but the 1.15 was not as fast as the car could have gone. That was during the race (3 hour) and we were trying to preserve the tyres so could have gone faster but didn't want to wreck the tyres as we only had one set. Also it was a very hot day so the times were relatively slow. Kershaw was doing low 1.18's in the 240R with 48's on and I would expect to do similar in my road car. You would be suprised how standard Simon's car is, it's just had lots time, knowledge and setup work invested in it.
