Morning Gents
Ive decided to touch up a couple bits on my S2.
The Gear Nob is really scratched from the previous owner. Where is a good place to get a new one from? and what are the cool ones to go for.
Also I remember a post on hear saying there was a way to pull the covering off the gear stick to reveal the nice shiny metal underneath. Can someone remind me of the technique for this?
I'm also gonna finaly get a Huricane induction kit. am I best off just ordering it from Elise parts and fittng it my self? I have heard that they are not to tough to fit....

The covering on the stick of my S1 is loose and just slips off - no need to cut.

Re: the Hurricane.
Yes order it yourself and have a go - the b*gger is one frickin' bolt, which if it's in a mood to come off, will make the whole thing a doddle... if it's not be prepared to cut the OE airbox with a dremel to get it off.
It will also be a lot easier if you have axle-stands and can stick the car's @rse up in the air and remove the inside rear wheel and liner... allows better access to said bolt and also when you're fitting the intake pipe and end-piece.
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=160510&f=15&h=0&hw=hurricane will offer some assistance I hope.
Cheers, Tim
