Hi Folks,

I've done a search but I can't quite find what I'm looking for...

I'm wanting to clean the interior of my Type 23 and I've bought everything for every other surface but what do I clean the aluminium parts with?? I've read you have to be careful not to take the coating off with certain products...but what cleans it best and brings out the best in the aluminium?

Oh..and another thing please...What's best to clean the suede bits (NOT the alacantra).

Thanks Peeps,

Regards,

Mac

Baby wipes are the fav for the ali.

I tried a Flash Sponge eraser on a small section and it don't half get the dirt out.

I am going to go use the Flash eraser on the pasanger foot rest to make sure it does not harm the ali.

Thats it Gary

Last night I used just very small amount of fairy liquid and water. While it got it 'clean' as such, ie no dirt or no muck or anything, it still doesn't actually LOOK overly posh or polished.

I'd be interested on people's thoughts on this too - you don't polish with metal polish, I understand...but what DO you do?!

Because thats what we do on here. Its called banter.

Baby wipes or just water with some mild detergent in it. Dont use metal polish as it will take off the coating on the aluminuim (or aloooominum for you yanks)
