Help please how to change the bulb in S2 spotlight

Title says it all really, off side spot/driving lamp, nothing in the handbook and I cant see an obvious way of getting at the bulb, anyone help please?

Is it the early type spotlights on the S2, like a black sphere with a small bulb sticking out?

If so you have to dismantle the entire thing, not just take the cover off the front as the bulb goes in from behind. Also be prepared to splice some wires as there wasn't a plug on mine!

It's 53 plate Oct 03, can't seem to see an easy way of doing, so maybe it is as you say an earlier version.

Does anyone know what the later version procedure is so I can check that first?

Hi,

I think you do have to remove the driving light to replace the bulb.

If so, you will need the fingers and nerves of a brain surgeon as one of the nuts is very tricky to put back into the mounting without dropping it into the undersill of the car (well it was on my 09/2004 elise).
