I was on the megahoon last week, and here is a (very quick, hastily put together, not overly great quality) video of me thumping through the Tuscan countryside in beautiful sun.

God it's rubbish to be back, but my goodness I had an AWESOME time!

If you're THINKING about getting an Elise, watch this video, and you'll be at the dealer's within the hour!

May I suggest clicking here for something which will make it even more difficult for you to say no to the Larini

(after last week's holiday, with TVR's and Ferrari noises a blaze, I will be buying the silenced de-cat pipe from Larini too )

Great roads, looks hugely entertaining...

Have you got lot's of jingle jangle jewellery on, it keeps chinking between gear changes

Don't know what you mean about the gear changes - I can't hear what you mean?
One thing it could be is that the mic for the bullet cam was in my glovebox type area (it's the best place I found - anywhere else and there's too much wind noise). So, it could be coins or the walkie-talkie or something like that which you can hear jingling!?

I certainly ain't no Mr T look-a-like, fool

Hi, great video. Love the noise.

I think you did well going that distance and not having to overtake one car on your conquest.

the second before that clip started I was overtaking a car, and as it ended I had to overtake another one - that whole road was about 45 mins to drive (SO much fun) and traffic was not too much of a problem, but sometimes if you end up behind something and the road is too twisty, you can never see if it is safe to overtake.
Sometimes the locals are very kind though and pull over. Of course, always you say big thanks as they are nice to do so!

That was a rather particularly pleasant stretch, though

Just watched/heared your video (I'm normally on the wedge site- noisy cars) sounded fantastic and am minded to get one of these rasping brutes !

How come you don't blip the throttle on the downchange when it sounds as sweet as that?! You're missing a treat!

cheers guys

there was no real need to heel and toe as the wheels were never going to lock (not got anywhere near enough torque!) and the roads were bone dry. It would have just introduced another element which could go wrong (i.e. not complete braking properly) when driving at those speeds.

However, yes it does sounds bloody good and I do tend to heel and toe when driving less 'spiritedly'...purely for the noise

God I love my car
