s2 in classifieds for £13200

[mousietrfc]

looks nice enough, but should i be suspicious that it's so cheap?

any advice appreciated

Well if he's travelling in October and needs the cash then he's probably prepared to lose a grand or two by selling cheap. Also, don't forget that £13200 is the ebay starting bid... if it sells it'll probably go for higher than that.

There are plenty around for £15k ish so its just 10% cheaper.

Worth a punt I'd think

^ what he said!

Its not like he wants 8k for it so I wouldnt say its suspiciously cheap.

The guy I bought my car off for example worked in Iraw as a bodyguard and only did 400miles in the time he owned it. Wanted money for a flat, so wanted shot of the car. Every sale has a story!

That's the going rate really. Early S2, high miles (compared to others for sale), lots of previous keepers (not necessarily a bad thing).

He's had this on ebay before and I think it comes woith a very rare long tail hardtop that you could sell for £1k all day long.

Looks like an honest deal to be had. Fill yer boots

Thanks for the replies,

it's a case of "do my homework" before making a post. I'd stupidly assumed that an S2 would cost considerably more.
I'm looking for an S1 at the minute so any suggestions/leads much appreciated, I'm in the wirral/cheshire area, cheers Matt
