rear of exige - some have badge others have L O T U S ?
Discussion
In 2004 they decided to put the yellow and green badge on the back of Elise and Exige models.
However, there was uproar as the dealers got a lot of hassle from customers saying that they hated the green and yellow badge on the back and wanted L O T U S back asap.
Lotus went back on their decision and put the more traditional badges back on. I don't even think the green and yellow badges were on for a complete model year. More like a few monnths.

Hmmm, let me think, quality enamel badge steeped in Lotus heritage, or dodgy Rover-esque stick on plastic lettering? ![]()
I'm proud to be a badge-boy!!!![]()
(ducking for cover now)

Now let me think..... It's plastic, not enamel.
It's Called cost cutting.
The old enamel badges were good & kept their colour, the plastic ones fade after a few years in sunlight
I'm a letters person

Damn! I was going to say that's for weight saving purposes but I suppose you letters boys have got the edge on that front!
You could argue some arerodynamic benefit like the small lump in the rear of the car gives an initiatin point for vortex shedding but I think you'd be pushing sh1t uphill :P
