Are OMP R&S brake pads any good? Are brake pads the same for S1 and S2 Elises?

Pads are the same for both.

I would go for Pagids if you can afford it.

Just changed the standard pads on my Exige (due to completely wearing them out at Donnington) to Pagids and the difference is immediately noticeable even on the road.

Regarding the pads and specially the pagids.
Can you just change them without any other mods?
Do you feel a need to wait a time of warming up with special pads?

No mods needed to fit Pagids.

They do work better with a bit of heat in them but they are fine from cold on the road.

Any experience of the difference between the RS42 and the RS14?

I fitted the Mintex 1144 from Elise parts. About £120 for the full set. So much better than the standard pads. Need to warm a little bit first. Make a fair bit of dust, but as long as you wash the car once a month, it comes off fine.

I considered the Padidge type ones... and I cant justify spending double on them. I'd only go for them if I was doing lots of track days...

Mintex are good for the road but wont stand up to much abuse on track

For kind of everyday use, let's say no track use at the minute, and for a reasonable cost, what would people go for - Green stuff any good?

I put Greenstuffs on as I do too much everyday driving and not enough trackdays to justify Pagids and they're fine. Heard a few stories that Pagids are more abrasive when cold as well as being less effective so couldn't take the risk (although have been in a Pagid-shod car on track and very impressed by their performance in this environment).
