Noticed that many major dealers are now selling '05 111Rs with delivery miles where essentially the Touring Pack comes for free.
Some are pre-reg some are not.

how do you guys rate these 'deals' ? Are they worth taking ?

Winter is here too, so probably shifting stock to avoid being stuck with them till spring!

When do the new options come out... and is it just options or are the cars being tweaked/revised?

I for one am glad I got a '55 plate 111R. The new LED tail lights and the 'brick' pattern rear grille look real tacky to my eyes As for the cup holder and trinket tray

I THINK externally apart from fancy rear lights and optional 14 spoke wheels they look the same? Got the spec on my desk here.. Wonder where the cup holder goes?

Didn't mean to offend anyone that might have ordered a 06 car. Its all down to personal taste.

AFAIK the cup holder sits just under the dash ali extrusion left of centre. Trinket tray is a fancy ali divider to section of the dash ali extrusion. These may not be added to the UK version.

New seat options look cool. Heard a nasty rumour about traction control being added too...

How does TC figure in super sports pack? Exige wheels with wider front tyres, stiffer springs and adjustable dampers would be logical .. oh wait, that must be the Track Pack?

No idea the pack listing is confusing.. sports pack is £1495, super sports pack is £2495 but only available with the sports pack? So is that £4000? I post the detail but only have hard copy and by the time I had typed it people would have their cars..

Maybe its all detailed on the grouplotus site?

The traction control is supposed to be very good. At the lotus ball when the track car was launched, I talked with some of the top lotus people and the up and comming traction control slipped out...

Its supposed to be possible to get around hethel quicker with traction control on than without.

Lotus seem to be very happy with the system, they have done the same as with the abs on the R. Take a developed system and make it better for road use, but also great on the track.

this is what I found, but not sure about prices

Elise

External changes:

New LED rear lamp units.
Re styled diffuser trim - lost the rear reflectors.
Introduction of the forged lightweight rim for Elise in a 6J format. This is
the wheel that you may have seem on the Exige, but it now looks so much
better with a really nice M3 type of paint finish.

The car also has lost the Bridgestone, in favour of a new Yokohama tyre.

The pedals have changed, we have a new type of electronic throttle, and a
much better brake padel that allows for easy heel and toe.

Price £27995 + On the Road costs.

Packs:
Touring Pack: £1995
Noise Insulation
Driving Lamps
Thermal soft top
Full Carpets
Leather Pro Bax Seats ( orthopedic memory seats )

Super-sports pack looks OK but who would pay £2K for super-touring for an airbag, cupholder, trinket tray, handbrake gaitor and special mats... they must be having a laugh!!

Rear LED lights look fine IMO, not much different to the existing ones.
