Hi all
I know many of you have been a group purchase(which I unfortunately missed) and discussion on Larini exhausts but I could do with a little advice please.
Getting an 03 111S tomorrow.
Dont like the exhaust sound so would like to improve it.
First thought for a simple fix was a Hurricane induction kit.
Was thinking of an exhaust as the next step, but maybe it should be the first move instead. i dont want it to sound too loud and wonder if combining induction kit and exhaust would do this.
Also - the pics of the Larini systems I've seen look great, but which is better - Club Sport or Sport, and am I going to run into Bracket problems when fitting?
Muchas Gracias & here's to a good weekend.

I know Larini are adressing the fitting problems but I think they only affected the later cars 05. Stil waitung for mine.. I have asked for a sport so will try and post sound pics etc when fitted then you can compare against some on here who have the club. Tony has posted some files somewhere..

Or email Larini, they mailed me sound files for the club and may have some for the other model..

First thing I did was put on an ITG on as well, makes a lovely roar (really just in cabin) when accelerating.. Quiet other times...

ITG = Top end induction kit. Costs a fair bit more than the other kits available.
Many a debate has been held as to whether it justifies the additional cost. Up to you really

It's a different brand rival to the Hurricane.

It's generally acknowledged to be superior and is in carbonfibre.... it's about twice the price of the Hurricane though and any benefit is negligible (if even there at all)..... basically if money's no object, go for the ITG, it's superbly made and is probably a slightly more professional solution than the Hurricane. The Hurricane does the same job, just as well for about half the cost.

Can definitely recommend the Hurricane - fitted it to my 04 111S 4 weeks ago and it sounds great in the car, slightly louder on tickover, great under hard acceleration (think 4-cylinder Touring Car). You can hear it outside the car - a mate of mine could hear it from his Caterham, which can't be bad!

It's also a lot cheaper than a zorst, to worth doing first. Then use the following weeks to choose what tailpipe you're going for, it doesn't take long to want more (Larini on order as we speak)!

Out of interest does an induction & sports exhaust together work well? Sure i've seen various responses to this in otther topics. I've been looking at both Piooly has an induction kit he produces which is half the price of most of the others.

Not sure whether to jsut save up for the exhaust & leave it at that... hummm

Yup...see here...

and it's got links to all the downloads.

My cat replacement pipe arrived yesterday and so this weekend I will mostly be making some noise.

Ordered with the bulk buy (last minute after umming and ahhing all weekend). Went for Club Sport as I want a decent sound (so not quieter one) but not too much (do trackdays and like to move off the drive at night without annoying neighbours too much)

A guy on SELOC reckons around next Friday, haven't rung Larini as I'm fairly flexible on delivery (this week, next week, whatever - as long as it's fairly soon!) and would rather give them time to sort out the bracket issues. Invoice arrived yesterday, so at least they haven't forgotten me!
