Ok, I have just removed the door panel cos I`m fed up with the window not doing up properly and wobbling lots when door is open. The drivers door window has always had alot of sideways play in it and i thought, (being that this is my 1st Elise) that this was just one of those tadts things that you have to learn to live with as its been like it since i got the car.
Upon taking the door to bits I have discovered the problem! The vertical runner at the front of the window has no rubber (or whatever its made of) inside the metal horseshoe that pinches the glass within the runner, so the window is not held in place it just rattles about! The rubber is not in the door at all, ie it hasn`t fallen out of the runner. Another thing to add to the long list of things that Adrian Blyth never picked up on or chose to ignor on the PDI.

Can anyone tell me where i could get these rubber inserts or if anything else will surfice?

I imagine that like everything else on the Elise they are a fcuker to fit!!

TIA

I have removed one of mine until I get another one to replace it with. It had lost its furryness and meant the window wasnt going up and down properly, the previous owner of your wagon has probably done the same.

Id like to know where to get a replacement from also. I can imagine lotus will want $.
