My Exhaust flap thing is jammed open on my 111S

The exhaust flap that opens and closes depending on engine speed is jammed open. Is there something I can try and maybe remedy the problem myself or is it off back to the dealers for me?

Also is it ok driving it like it is?

Its fine like that. Enjoy the extra noise until you get a sports exhaust

Saves you having to cable tie it, sounds better and wont do any harm so long as the orange pipe has not come off.

If you don't like it squirt WD50 on the piston and wiggle, its a pretty simple item.

You're lucky - mine was jammed closed and I only discovered it when I took the exhaust off. No wonder the car felt so much faster with the new rear box! It will not have any negative impact when it is open - it will just sound louder..... which is good imho (hence the larini). I am even thinking of the sports cat now.
