Ebay item no. 4582427562

A 1999 V reg, 111s in azure blue with matching hardtop. 41k miles and what appears to be some sensible upgrades. Sold for £9850 about 3 weeks ago.

With my £10k budget is it worth holding out for something similair? Or was that deal just too good to be true?

Seems like a very low price to me. There's actually a yellow 111s in the classifieds for 10500. But usually they're above 11000 ,but since it's off season now I guess the prices drop a bit. Now is the time to get one

This car is actually for sale in the same town as I live.

I see the car regularly driven round at very ENTHUSIASTIC speeds in the town centre. This and the colour puts me off.

Pretty sure he`s a scottish elises member.

Any used elise will have been driven enthusiastically at some point.

And also, elises tend to look and sound like they are being driven faster than they are. I get grannies shaking their heads just pottering through the village at 30mph in 4th.

But the colour is love or hate!

Theres a 99 one in Red on the auotrader in glasgow. Looks good spec for the money, and from the advert it sounds like he needs to sell soon. The 99 had the revised bits and pieces and a few problems ironed out that earlier cars had.

Yeh love it or hate it - personally I love it!

If I could have found a Scandal Green one when I was looking, I would have gone for it. Happy with Chrome Orange though.

Having just sold a similar spec car (with similar mileage), i'd say that the price is about right.

One dealer offered me £5k Vulture!

Tays27, the S1 111s which you saw on ebay (4582427562) is mine and never got sold. First off he was going to buy it out side of ebay at the price I was looking for, so he just made sure he was the highest bidder at the end of the auction. The chap had'nt check his insurance before saying he'll have it(School boy error) and could'nt afford it. I'm going to wait until spring before trying to sell it again. Sorry if this has given you any fauls hopes. Good luck in finding something

I thought it looked too good to be true!

I've never seen an interior like yours before, did you have the work done?

No it was like that when i got it, but it was the main reason why i went for this one over the others i was looking at. Its my only car so it needed to feel comfortable as well as every thing else you look for in an elise and this just added to it.
