What oil are people using in their K-series? Mine is due a change and normally I use Magnatec or Helix both of which meet the spec outlined in the handbook.

I use a 10w40 semi synthetic. Lots of people use Mobil 1 etc but it's only a Rover engine, and Rover recommended 10w40 so I'm sticking with that.

Winter road and light track Castrol Performance/Magnatec 10W40 £3.60/ltr
Summer & heavy track Silkolene Pro S 10W50 £6.30/ltr

Change around 500 track miles or 5000 road miles or when the oil goes black or whenever.
