Hi. Just wanted your opinions on the Lotus service manual for the Elise. Is it just me or is there way to much text and to few illustrations ?

Just got my Elise so no plans for taking it apart just yet, but I'm used to servicing my cars and fitting all kinds of tuning/styling parts myself, so just wanted to get to know the car.

I'm used to the Honda service manuals from Helms and they're absolutely brilliant

Any alternatives to the Lotus service manuals out there ? Maybe time to start surfing the web for some howto's

I actually have hard copy manuals of both the service manual and the parts list for both S1 and S2 for sale if your interested.

I don't personally don't like pdf's I much prefer hard copy manuals and there really arn't any Haynes or such like manuals out there for the Elise.

Here's some pics of the manuals. BTW...you can have the folders and inserts in difference colors!

Hi,Mac. Are those printed out from the CDs ? I just got the service manual in a pdf file. Guess it's the same one ? I could use that parts list manual though. How much do you want for it on CD ? Would like to buy both of those hard copys, but shipping to here might be expensive.

Hi cej,

I want £55 for both manuals and I just sent one to some one else in Denmark so I actually happen to know that the post is £35 Totalling £90 for the two. I know you would pay that around abouts for the service manual alone from Lotus and these are bound better than the ones from Lotus.

Anyway, eitherway, just let me know.

Regards,

Mac
