Exige Cup 240 in Japan

I must start with "I have never owned a Lotus before today".....but today I was inspired by some of the comments I have been reading and went and put my order in for an Exige Cup 240 at the Tokyo dealer. As luck would have it all had been pre-sold but whilst I was there someone canceled and I am now expecting a graphite titanium Exige Cup 240 in March 06.

I read somewhere in this forum that somebody else was thinking of doing this in Tokyo but walked away because they were not coming in "road spec". The dealer has assured me that it will be road registered when i pick it up.

They had a 240 Cup car at the dealer, it was bright orange and had a plate stating it was Number 1, however this car was left hand drive and was not for sale.

The dealer told me 28 Cup cars would be coming to Tokyo (14 190 cars and 14 240 cars)and all had been sold.

I am looking forward to thrashing the sh(*&(& out of the little thing on the track and hop eto hear from others who have taken the plunge with this car. Cheers Gary
