There was loose chat about organising a BOLOC's track/airfield day a while ago.

Looking at the Airfiled days it's booked up until January now www.carlimits.com/script/viewEvents.php?type=airfieldtraining&month=20060101

Does anyone still fancy this or would you rather wait until easter when it warms up & drys out a bit?

I'm sure a deal can be cut if we got loads of us to go on one day, maybe change the format a little to accommmodate say 8 drivers?

What'd'ya reckon

Time of year doesnt bother me, cost does though

Would be interested, but would need to be rediculously cheap.

Airflied day is (4 Person Day) - £170 each so maybe if there were more of us then cheaper?

As always if we get an idea of numbers interested then it's easier to haggle

Otherwise we could get Westover (ameyc) to sort something on our behalf, personally i'd like to start on an airfield day with lots of space for spinning before i hit the track!

One can book the whole airfield for an "experience" type day - loads of activities rather than formal training. Speak to carlimits receptionist. The cost would be pretty low if we got say 12 people together.

More than 4 on a day with Andrew and you're diluting the experience and chance to practise properly.

I'd urge you to do one when it's wet if you can, you'll really learn SO much about your driving skills and the car. Most of us only find out how the car handles on the limit on less than dry roads when it's too late.

Well i'm deffo up for doing it anyway & will have some cash post xmas as flat sale will be complete.

We can just get 4 of us and fill one day then, and maybe if there are more people then an additional 4 can book out another day.

So names & numbers are:

2. gooby

I`m in if its reasonably cheap. In all honestly I have had much more fun on the activity days than I did on the Walshy Day, albeit I learnt more on the Walshy Day!! But as a day to test the limits of our cars without worring about spinning off etc, the activity days is our best bet! I`m off to North Weald tomorrow for an activity day with LOT and Walshy, If I get a chance I`ll ask Walsh for Info/Ideas/Opinion etc.

A proper walshy day is a good way to start, and 4 person day is the best compromise between cost and practice time. Once having done a Walshy trainong day you might wish to do the activity days. Next year LOT have some booked for only £15 , you do have to be a member though. LotusStuart and myself are on the last one of this year, its tomorrow and it only cost a tenner each. Yes only a tenner for a whole day hooning around an airfield. Andy Walsh will be there as will another instructor, so help is at hand.
I checked my tyre pressures tonight, the tank is full, ready to rock. Getting up bloody early in the morning so all is sorted befor bedtime. I cant wait! oops I think I did a sex wee.
Phil.

I'm up for some of this driver training, but who's walshy? is it LOT, or 1st Lotus Driving School, carlimits, or non of the above? I just want training, not yet ready fo the full track experience, just want to be able to handle her in all situations.

Andrew Walsh, does the training up there and is a TOP bloke. Spent all day trying to teach me to steer without 'pull-push' and failed miserably! I'm just too set in my ways through my job training...

Gonna be posting here lots more from Jan onwards when i finally get the Elise. Can't wait!!!

Sadly not drunk - bad spelling after a 16 hour day in A&E without a break. Now off to work for likely another. At least I used "G"'s and not "B"'s!

Let me know when you get more info.
