BoLOC's to Rallye Sunseeker
Discussion
Hi Guys
I am involved with another club who exhibit at the Rallye Sunseeker Motorfair at Somerley Park (Nr Ringwood) in February each year. Next year it is to be held on Saturday 25th February.
I have been speaking with the organisers and they are welcoming any local specialist car clubs to have a complimentary stand to display members cars.
Would anyone be interested in attending to support the BoLOC's and the Lotus brand and show off their babies to the drooling public and wannabe boy racers, whilst getting free entry to the Rally?
I know it's not in keeping with the usual boloc outings tearing around country lanes (at 60mph of course) waking up sleepy hamlets, but there's usually plenty of stuff going on, including seeing the scooby's, evo's and the occasional 6R4 screetching around corners wrecking Lord Somerley's herbaceous borders!
You can come and go if you get really fed-up (or cold)....what do ya think?
The pitch is 15m x 8m so plenty of room for lots of Loti
If anyone is interested please let me know as I'll need to fill in a form to give them an idea of numbers.

Need to check I am around, but if I am, I am very interested.
As to whether the BoLOCs have ever done something like this before, the answers no. We only started the group sometime around April this year and until now, its all been about, Runs, Burger Runs and Breakfast.
Was a suggestion for organising a Mega Run to take a very long weekend, but that never came off. Other discussions about a Euro trip still ongoing, quietly.

Burger Runs AKA "A Gooby"
Ususally a Friday evening blast to Swanage via some car park in the middle of the Army's live fire range, then Corfe Castle, then Goobys favoutite road into Swanage.
Burger Bar at Swanage for a quick bite to eat, then either a fast blast home, or a quick run to the Scotts Arms, a few shandies, then a fast blast home.
Will need to get you on one, that Exige of yours would be in its element.

Somerley Park sounds like a good plan.
With regard to burger runs you did one, sort of. On a Sunday a couple of weeks ago.
Run up to the hill overlooking Tynham, which is where I had to turn around and go home. Then Corfe Castle and Swanage.
The Burger runs are out that way but with a burger at Swanage.
Oh and in the dark trying to keep up with Gooby is scary.
Phil.

Somerley Park is the very best place for 6R4 watching for sure!
We will be there this year as we are every year but I have doubts about whether any Loti would be able to survive the verrry 'single-file' exit track/quagmire out through the forest to the main road that they always force everyone to use....
Any chance they might make an exception to the exiting rules for us?!

Yep, it's all still on. I was planning to resurect this thread sometime soon anyway as the time is approaching - about 5 or 6 weeks now...
Hoping to get Westovers involved somehow aswell, but yet to decipher what!
How would everyone feel about having some kind of show card to display in the window with a picture and spec of the vehicle for people to read as they oggle at our beauties!?
If so, I'll try and find out what type of info they usually display and get anyone interested to email me so I can get them made up. Unless anyone on PH knows????
If any additional people are interested since the original thread, please post a reply and I'll contact everyone nearer the time.
I'm due to receive passes & maps about 10 days before the event so I'll get those distributed as soon as I have them.
Cheers
