Just a couple of questions, just interest really.

I was on the M42 the other day Road Angel was going beserk, and I noticed all the new camera sites along with the Active Traffic management signs. I know the cameras will monitor the reduction in a speed limit to say 50mph, but do the monitor the normal limit of 70 mph constantly? In other words do I have to watch it all the time, or only when the limit has been reduced and the new one posted on the signs?

And sort of connected, the SPECS cameras with the time/distance calculation things, can they see at night? Do the have an infa red light source?

Just random things that trouble me late at night, I really need to get out and drive more, but then I think the same questions!!! Catch 22 really.

Cheers

If you drive everywhere at 70mph or less on the motorway it'll all be fine.

Looks like I will be avoiding the M42 when 'on a mission' then. Or waiting for my cloak of invisibility from Santa to arrive.

I live in Solihull where the M42 speed cameras are.

Since they are all battleship grey and hidden at the back of the road signs, can you still get done?

All the other cameras in the area seem to be orange now and any which were tucked behind road signs have been moved into the open or removed altogether. Do different rules apply to the gantry cameras?
