Heating/Air con knackered!

The Heating and air con is not working on my 2003 Elise 111.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, whether or not it is easy to fix.
I could take it to a Lotus dealer to have a look at but they will have to take front clam off which will cost money!
I imagine it will be a simple problem to fix but I am not the best under the bonnet.
Any ideas?

Often the blower swicth that packs up...... resistor pack on the fan rusts and stops making the conection. Air con cars have a different one which you can get hold of seperately. normal cars require a whole new unit.

Check the obvious 1st e.g. fuses. Otherwise dealer and about 500 notes as it's fiddly........ Lotus know they have a problem and have forked out for replacement on cars just out of warranty.
