I got Fing laserd and fing caught again. FK

I have had a clean licence for nearly 6 years and now 6 points. I am so fg hacked off.

I am sick of talking about it I have ordered a "laser Garage door opener" A radar detector and the associated cables to run it off the B2. Mrs Gooby has hit the roof at the cost but including my "fines" it will cost about £700

The laser alarm went off and I hit the brakes, I was doing 41 on an empty road. The FG pig said I slowed to 14mph which was an "excessive reaction" so he gave me a ticket for an excessive reaction. CT

Mrs Gooby was in the car so I couldnt even have my 60 FG quids worth by tearing a few strips off the CT

Hey tw@t - happy FG christmas, I hope your mum is mugged while you are out "protecting us from law breakers"

Sorry to hear this gooby...wish you more luck in future! what a police that was, so you slowd down quik but than he gave you a fine and points for danger driving?? hm...not nice, but they are the law and sadly they pick the weekest link they can catch, the "brave" paying cittizen...no wonder why there are so many people in GB that drive with no licence or insurance...I think its a stupid idea a point system used also for speeding because that says nothing about your driverscils!
In Holland where I life only the youngest(newest lisence) get points...I got my license allready 24 years but they took mine also for 3 monhts! after 16 jan 2006 I'll get mine back! also laserd in the middle(03am) of the night on a empty higway! and in Holland they are not so in sight the are standing out of sight very sneaky! but I was also driving a very high speed, now I'm stuck at home, can't go annywhere...until 16-jan-2006 a real drama for a carnut like me...and I also have to pay 1250,-euro fine and 6 months on try and they keep it recorded for 5 years! aaaaaaaaaaaaa....
So your not the only man, they look for speeders like crazy over here! not nice, if they put all that in a proper police job they maybe get real crime down much more...
So head up and don't let down to much! you know who you are! and if they do like this to often, then they sure make you a criminal too, I know I do(in driving matters...if they took my license for ever I stil would drive because I know I'm a good driver and taken my license will not say other wise, only that I'm sometimes when roads aloud a faster driver, and whats wrong whit that if you can handle it)
Cheers

Tell him a fox ran out in front of you. Make him prove one didnt. Dogs used to be the best option when they people had to licences for them, now that they dont any animal will do, but preferably something mediocre size.

Its also a very good exucse for tail gaters ....."Sorry you went in the back of me, but I had to stop real quick cos of that Fox"......maybe not a good idea in the Elise, but my Zafira and you Pajero would be able to handle it.

No the ticket was for speeding. A nights sleep and I am still FG fuming about it. He got all smarmy about having a road angel and see where it got you.

It was more, "you have a detector and I still got you so have a ticket smart arse". 4 coppers and they were hiding in the bushes and behind cars. I went down southcote road and there were 3 prostitutes hanging "out" and they are playing kojack with a kodak.

I am so sick of dorset police treating us like wallets on wheels. If it isnt the scamera partnerships it is cocky bottom holes with nothing better to do.

Just got the complaints details - lets fire off a letter and see where this goes.

I really hate the police these days, I got my car broken into and vandalised and they didn't want to know yet I constantly get hassle from them over something. F....g ....kers... In all the times I have had to call them for something over the years they have not helped at all yet go a couple of MPH over the limit and there they are with their ego boosting equipment! sorry mate - I think I am going to get a jammer as well it's the only way forwards.

And THAT is the core of it...not that people are being done for speeding, but that they're putting so many resources into speeding and 'can't attend' any other sort of crime:-
- my car broken into, stereo nicked, was told 'unless there was blood for DNA they won't come out', and 'you're a member of the AA, aren't you?!?'
- fiancee's car broken into, door bent to get in and steering column bent trying to get lock off, 'we can be with you in about 5 hours probably, are you OK to leave the car there?!?' (unlit street at night about 5 miles from home!!!)

...but people's cars are only property, so not important, obviously!

Unlucky mate, even with a jammer the likelihood is they'll still find a way to try and dick you. I wouldn't bother with any kind of complaint, sadly I think it's just a case of taking it on the chin and hoping the new gear keeps you protected.

Another case of the law being enforced to the letter rather than properly considering all aspects of "the crime" and giving an appropriate penalty. IMvHO if it's late at night, clear road and you're not posing a clear threat of danger to others a slap on the back of the risk and a warning should suffice. Warnings could be recorded, 3 warnings and you get points and a fine (warnings to be given at officers discretion depending on the level of naughtiness).

Chin up, go and have a good drive with the boys this morning and forget about it.

So he got a reading for 14mph on his gun? Does that mean he didn't catch you speeding?

Maybe worth asking about this on pepipoo.

After all you probably weren't speeding, just panicked when you saw someone pointing a laser at you. Its the natural reaction!

That is ridiculous!! You just proved how alert you were, and also how quickly Elises brake. That policeman needs his head examining!!

If you dont mind spending some money to avoid these points then Nick Freeman is a top solicitor who i believe hasnt lost a case all year. He is not cheap but did keep me clear of a potential situation earlier in the year. Let me know if you want his number or more info.

Bad luck (again Gooby). Valid point from simonK. I would follow up on it. The police have utterly lost the plot these days. I witnessed a crim a few weeks back and phoned our local police, to be told that as I was not the victim, there was nothing they could do. I used to think we had a good police force in this country - recent events are completely changing my mind. The other day they were about to jail a pensioner who had been pickpocketed several times. He photocopied one side of a £20 note and wrote "got you" on the blank other side and kept this in his wallet, with his real money in his sock. The want to put him away for 9 months for counterfeiting! Yet they release (or don't bother to jail in the first place), violent criminals who go on to commit further crimes.

No, respect has gone, the 's need no longer expect me to worry about civic duty when they can't be bothered. If there are any members of the force reading this, take heed, you are fast losing the support of the people of Britain.

Still pissy about it!
I have a new tactic, These goons get you coming out of a blind bend and get you so you cant see them, I was 145m away. When the laser alarm goes off, I am simply going to stop and turn around. That combined with the laser detector, laser diffuser, radar detector, gps speed trap detector and bloody good brakes should keep me clear. If it doesnt, I am not sure how to stay clean.

I was done for speeding 41mph. He took 2 readings one was 41, the other was 14. Because I braked, he gave me the ticket for 41. What he means to say if you try to avoid a trap they will give you a ticket. He asked why did I slow down, I responded that I always brake when I see a speed trap.

My wife was in the car so I was not going too fast and she is the first to critize if my driving is bad. Even she admits that I wasnt driving too fast for the road and conditions.

They want to get all "hi tech" with laser and radar detectors and have a problem with you if you want to protect yourself.

How fd up is it when you have to protect yourself from the police

Were you in a 40 zone or a 30 zone? If the former, you should defiitely contest it.

This is in the post today, I thik I will do one for the local MP

---------------------------------------------
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am thoroughly ashamed at the strategies displayed by the Bournemouth Police. Recently I have witnesses a number of police hiding in bushes with laser speed traps in order to further harass the local motorists. This seems to be a full time job for the local constabulary and if the local police are not out with laser speed traps the Camera partnerships are out in force. This seems to be a simple revenue earner and a method to harass the motorist further. At the very least, it is a very effective method at removing every last bit of respect I have for the police.

I left your speed trap and continued my journey home and entered Southcote road where I found no less than 3 prostitutes, one of whom was so “high” she stepped out in front of the car. Cynically, I would say she is there because she has no money to pay fines and therefore is not a priority.

I have been broken in to twice in the last couple of years, both time through a homeless man that I helped out, I obtained the name and address of the people who raped my house and car. Being a good citizen and obviously wanting justice, I called the police. The first time it took 2 days to get the constable responsible by which time it was far too late for anything positive to emerge and the second I was greeted by a large amount of indifference.

The constant harassment of the local motorist has to stop and “real” policing has to begin. Harassment of innocent motorists and treating them like “wallets on wheels” does not serve the community. I would be grateful if an officer would justify the use of these tactics instead of solving crimes that are to the detriment of the local residents.
Regards,

GreenV8S

Do you mean pointing a gun at you? If I thought somebody was pointing a gun at me I'd stop pretty sharpish too!
