Obvious question, given the title.

What does everyone run their tyre pressures at for a 111R ?

28 and 30 psi at this time of year, falls for 24/26 for dry summer trackdays. I've been astonished with how well the brigestones handle very wet roads at the higher pressures.

Apologies for resurrecting this, however after some opinions.

Just went and inflated my tyres at a Tesco garage to 26/27psi, thinking that was the correct pressures. Have since checked and found it to be 26/29psi.

The question is, the steering feels substantialy lighter than it originally was, to the point where it just doesnt not feel as if it has as much grip. Would this be because the rears have not been inflated enough, or because the pressure gauge at Tesco's is inaccurate and they are possibly to high.

Opinions greatly received.

I wouldn't trust the accuracy of any petrol station gauge, they get dropped and thrown around. Treat yourself to a digital gauge, usually under a tenner....

Get a digital gauge they are allot more accurate. I've founf the garages to be out considerably. On a light car like the Elise 3-4psi makes a HUGE difference.

I tend to run rounghly on the recomended 26/29

Hope that helps.
