Window Sticker Removal

Hi. MY car came witht he Lotus Motorsport sticker on the top of the windscreen on the outside - its not to my taste and i was wondering if anyone can tell me how best to remove it (hair dryer / whitesprit?)

yep, I always remove stickers with a hairdryer and when there is still some sticky glue on the window or car left, clean it with (wasbenzine in Dutch)washpetrol? its the stuf they clean cars with before they spray(paint) it. I believe with spirit is in Dutch Terpentine, that stuf is a bit to oily? fat? not clean anough but you can do it also with that and then use some windowcleaner(housdstuf)

yw, but don't keep the hairdryer to long on the same place...overheating that area is not so good on some points, but I guess you know.
In the early driving days of me there where a lot of cars with thin stripes over the ful side lenght of the cars(like Alpina cars and imitators) those stripes when old where hard and difficult to get off the cars...every mm it brakes of aaaah then using a hairdryer and yes, its getting soft again and the glue too so easy job that way, since that time I never forget a hairdryer in my garage, I don't use it myself, since I shave my head the bald way

I think they might, it's going in for it's 1st service next Monday so with any luck I'll get them to slap it on then, had a total mare with the last one ended up in a right strop !

does'nt it work the same as glasfolie? you can buy for home's? I believe so, if it is, those you can get very clean on without bubbling when you spray some soapwater(soap(a few drops)/water mix) on the window were you wanted the sticker,then add the sticker you can push it in the corners(because of the soapwater) then pull the most water out with a windowpullerrubber(or just a flat piece rubber)? from the middle to the side's...when the sticker sits on place, let it dry in a few days its perfect...if it all works the same way as glasfolie for windows! thats what I know, and you can keep the plastic flexi with the hairdryer...when you don't work with soapwater and you placed the sticker wrong? its gone...with soapwater you can replace a few times! good luck.

We could have just swapped windscreens if i hadnt speent 30 mins in the freezing cold earlier today removing the sticker - guess its just personal taste.

Would it have been expensive?

In the cold the plastic get hard...so much more difficult to get the plastic from the car...even with the hairdryer, but its cold outside where is that nice summer wether? aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, guess we just have to wait
