hurricane induction kit or this?
Discussion
This post has reminded me that I was supposed to have contacted PIOOLY about testing one of his kits on my 111R.
So to PIOOLY, sorry, the reason being that Westovers warned me that any induction kit would invalidate my warranty, for anything that Lotus could point a finger at it for. eg the engine. I should have got back to you months ago on this but forgot.
Will be interested come November

What would this kit do for the noise of the car; am I right in saying that it's only when the car is under load that you'd notice any difference? And the difference would be a deep roar on the inlet? Would it change the note of the exhaust at all?
I sense another video coming on...
It definitely does - My Larini was so loud with a K/N induction that I took it off. Actually quite boomy. I put the airbox back on 91dB static. Then put in an ITG panel filter - 96 dB. The K/N was way louder.
MR C do you gave the de-cat as well? That took my Larini to a whole other level and especially on the motorway that 'boominess' mentioned above is just at that point where I don't want anymore.
While I don't do that many motorway miles, I don't want to start 'hating' my car (not that I ever could baby, honest, don't cry now, I didn't mean it, I still love you, honest....

Ok, some details on the Piooly, soon to become Lotus Additions.com induction kit.
The only extra noise you get from an induction kit is when you put the engine under load. On Motorways when you are just cruising with you foot lightly on the pedal, you still wont get any extra noise which is good. When you do decide to put your foot down though, the induction roar is fantastic. I cant imagine my car without it! Most kits will give you a similar sound level, however when you first start the engine with my kit fitted, there is a huge rush of air as the engine sucks it from the side air vent, sounds great ! Quite a few on this forum know my car and they know its pretty loud. Its also a good quality installation to boot.

I have an S2 Sports Tourer with a Hurricane, CRP and a B&C exhaust. It sounds amazing.
The induction sounds best in 4th/5th when you could be in 3rd (if you get what I mean), really deep and rumbling. When it gets to 4k, the exhaust takes over. My GF knows I am coming home as I turn into our road (good 500m from the double glazed house).
Neighbours hate me and I doubt I would get through a sticter track noise check, but on the road it can't be beaten.
