Does any one have any suggestions? Looking at improving power! Power Train Projects 180 upgrade looks good?

Has anyone had any experience with this company? Or any other ideas?

Cheers

That will not give you 180 bhp on a 111s - tests have shown that a de-cat pipe decreses the power by ~ 3 bhp. The sports zorst / manifold / induction does not add that much. I would be sceptical. If you want 180+ bhp, talk to Dave Andrews at DVApower. My car has induction, sports exhaust etc - sounds better / faster, but I guarantee that the power is not measureably increased - not 24 bhp!. The VVC engine needs a degree of back pressure to work.

I had standard s1 before which I fitted an ITG air filter and sports exhaust. Sounded great. I was disappointed with the sound of the s2 when I drove it out of the garage. Will check out DVA POWER.

cheers

Have a chat with Simon Watts who is the Market development Manager at PTP - 01455 622229.
He's very helpful and won't bullsh** you. i've just ordered a janspeed Roadsport exhaust from them.
Say hi from Beau.

The standard sound of the 111s is pretty tinny - I agree that sports exhaust is a must. £300 on induction may not be such good value for the minimal performance gains.

You won't get much out of a VVC without ditching the VVC unit which will make the car less driveable at low revs. Sounds like you're more concerned about the noise, in which case get an exhaust and induction system for around £4-500.

If you still want power then you need to look at what you use the car for and (most important!) budget. A VHPD conversion will mean that the car has less road manners and will need a lot more maintentance. The alternative is to spend £8K+ on an engine conversion (Honda/Audi/Duratec) - power easily over 200BHP but the downside is a smaller support network and a less developed product. Nothing wrong with this but not for the feint hearted. But then the feint hearted don't want more power!!
