This morning when i used my car i turned the key to the ignition and the headlights were on and i cant seem to turn them off (its an S2)

When there is no power they are not lit so its not a big issue, its just strange as before this didnt happen - any thoughts? Could it be related to the damp weather?

happens to my S2 when the car is really cold!

if you walk up to the car you can see the head lights are turned off but the second you put the key in the ignition the headlights go on - even tho they WERE turned off and i've not pressed the switch!

only happens when it's icy tho. i think some moisture is getting in to the back of the switch and somehow making a circuit.

if i press the button they turn off tho and everything's back to normal again

if it helps i've taken the switch panel off and sprayed the inside with WD40 and it's not happened since. may just be a coincidence tho!!

lots of speaker fasteners that need to be removed along with the ones at the top and bottom of the panel - it's a 5 minute job tho.

Could be the switch pack which are known to fail and give random problems. Mine would turn on the sidelights through the night! Other times they would turn on (or off) with the ignition. My switchpack was replaced under warranty.

Dunno the part price but labour will be cheap (very quick job).
