Hi
Thinking of buying a Elise, seen a 98 R plate s1 with 37000 miles fsh good condition for £10,000, needs two new headlights started to corrode and the windscreen has started to mist at bottom.Any advice on what to look out for, or does anyone know of any for sale for about 9k in the Yorkshire area.
Regards Ibb

you should be able to find a really nice car for £10K that doesnt need a lot doing at all - have you tried on here in the classfieds and on www.seloc.org?
hav a look on www.elises.co.uk for lots of info and www.elise-faq.com for a buyers guide

I would recommend paying that little bit extra to ensure you have a decent car. The less you pay the more you are likely to have to spend to bring the car up to scratch. This time of year a 10k car should be a good buy, leave to the summer and that same car would probably set you back an extra 1k
Head lamps are crap I replaced mine for sale and the new owner had to buy some more within the year. Fairly easy to fo remove the wheel and access from there. About £35 and off the shelf part. Dealers charge about £75 so be careful.
Not sure what you mean by misting - they are a soft top and you get condensation. Or do you mean the glass is going frosty looking ??
Seen them from £8.5k but £10k early car should be mint.....
