Anyone come across VentureShield from a company called InvisiblePatterns as an alternative to armourfend or paintshield. It's for a black car, so want it not to be too visible?

I vaguely recall evo had something different to armour fend put on their exige?

Evo used Ventureshield on the exige, costs around £400. I had armourfend put on a new front clamshell on a black elise 12months ago, you do get a visible line on the standard elise 'template' also heard that if you ever want to take it off it will delaminate the fibreglass. Not sure if that helps you at all!!

I have InvictaSheild on mine. Film made by 3M, comes in a multi-piece set. Way cheaper than Amorfend and Venture shield. You can see the lines on it when up close but so long as you get a neat job done by a pro it's minimal.

The lines only really show if you're not careful with polish. Cheaper than a respray.

Hmmm, has anybody mentioned Defendall?

Better quality than Armourfend and Invicashield IMO...

nope - how do you measure 'better quality' though on this stuff? Ive had armoufend on my black Elise for 2.5 years/60K miles...still looks like new as does the paint underneath it....I really cant tell that much difference between all this stuff - as long as its fitted properly and neatly it must all be pretty similar other than price?

Erm, not sure where I plucked this from, but do new models now come with protection on some panels from factory? May have just been a daydream that one...

Also, what's people's take on Armourfend etc here? "For god's sake, you gotta have it!" or "Nah, don't worry about it fella"

When I got a TT, there were guys on Audi Forums swearing by it, but 18k miles in as many months and I hadn't noticed any definite unequivocal evidence against not having any..?

My Exige was done in Defendal from new - seems like good stuff. Perhaps slightly thinner film than the Armourfend I had on my previous car (S2 Elise), but both do a good job and are pretty invisible on a silver car.
