Hi everyone...hope you all have a good weekend. My gearknob is bl***dy cold!
I am looking for 8 spoke wheels to go on my 111S which currently has 6 spoke.
I can get hold of a set of them from someone who had them on his 111R.
There is no problem with the fronts but apparently the rears don't fit directly.
Simon at Brooke Kensington says you can get a spacer and longer wheel nuts to make the rears fit.
Has anyone done this? Does anyone know where said bits can be bought? Eliseparts is no go.
Thanks again in advance.
Wrinkly.

111r alloys are 5 stud fitting and the standard s2 alloys are 4 stud so unless you change the rear hubs and drive shafts they aren't going to go on easily.

I think the 111r has 4 stud wheels the same as the other Elise's. The difference is in the offset. A spacer can be used to make them sit in the right place. Someone on SELOC has 111r wheels on a K series Elise.

Yep spacers needed - about 25mm on the rear, think the front is the same (ish)as S2

I have a smiliar plan, sonce no one has OZ wheels at sensible prices I'm gonna put S2 Exige wheels on my 111S to get the 195 fronts. Arno (who knows everything) tells me that to get from my rear offset of ET18 to the Exige offset of ET38 I need a 20 mm spacer;

"The best is probably to find 20mm spacers that you bolt to the hubs on the car using low-profile bolts and the wheel is then bolted to the spacer. For instance look at: www.spurverbreiterung.de/frame.php?lan=uk Click on 'Catalogues' at the top. 'System 4' would be what you need.
Select 'Wheel spacers according to brand' and then from the left bar 'Lotus'. Scroll down to 'Elise MKII' and there you see for 'System 4' the first spacer is a 20mm one (product code 13.236)"

The spacer bolts to the hub using low profile C/S bolts and I think that your original bolts sit lessthan 20mm produ of the of wheels rear face so use them to nail the wheel to the spacer.

Just need to find some reasonable Exige wheels ... Junks ;-)
