Fitting alloy sticks
Discussion
I got some alloy indicator sticks for xmas from ebay and when they came they had no fiting instructions.
Has anyone fitted these before?
I have looked at the fitting mechanism and it looks like the alloy sticks should slide over something then tigtened with some grub screws. What is it supposed to slide onto? The original plastic ones seem to be one piece so firstly, how do you get the standard ones off and secondly what do the alloy ones then fasten onto, any help much appreciated

FITTING INSTRUCTION FOR ALLOY STALKS
1.Pull back the rubber boot
2. You will see the original stalk has a square section coming out of the
column prior to the stalk thickening and bending.
You need to saw off the stalk just before the start of the bend cutting off the flange and keeping as much of this square section as
possible.
3.Put the rubber boot onto the new stalk and slide the new stalk over the
stub that remains.
4.Secure in place with the 2 grub screws ( dont over tighten)
5. Refit rubber boot to column
