I have read loads of previous threads regarding which tyres are best suited for Elise.

I have got the OZ Alloys with uprated springs etc so at the moment am running the Yoko A048's. From reading the previous comments it seems its between A048's and R888's for track use. Not really an option for me as I only do 2-3 trackdays a year and most of my miles are commuting into London everyday.

So...............

It seems its between the following with best price I have found for set

Yoko Advan Neova's (£600)
Yoko A039's (£620)
Toyo T1R's (£300)

Can anyone advise on past experience with these tyres or name anymore worth considering.

P.S Cracking Black Exige spotted today on A316 in Richmond. Anyone here?

didnt know you could get Advan Neovas in the correct sizes? if you can Id go for those

Toyos are fine just for road use, they seem to last forever and are cheap...however you will notice the difference in grip from the A048s

A039s or A539s are great too - about 80-90% as good as A048 in the dry and far better in the wet...just expensive

I´ve got a set of Toyos on standard rims for rain/winter driving and a set of OZ with A048s for track days and summer.

Can't advise on the tyre issue but would like to ask what model you guys with the OZ wheels drive? I have an 03 111S and am thinking of changing the wheels. I have looked for OZ but can't seem to find anyone that offers the correct fitment. Also, whch model of OZ wheel do you have? Thanks. Wrinkly

For the K series S2 You need the specific Lotus Motorsport OZ racing wheels in 6.5x16 ET31.5 and 7.5x17 ET18.

List from a dealer is around £1,700 with A048s, some racing stock knocking around for £1,200, secondhand rims alone can go for around £800. Some folks have mucked around with Compomotive MOs in strange sizes to clear the front caliper.

Do you have an S1 or S2??

I'm having Neova's put on Standard S1 Rims at B&C today for around £400.

Neovas all the way IMHO. Keep an eye out for special offers. I got a full set from B+C for £350 or so inc P+p. Got them fitted for £40 at my local specialist.

Sorry! I am talking bout S2 and didnt look through tyre websites to see if you can get Neovas to fit.

With those out of the picture it seems as if I am down to a choice of only a couple now unless anyone can recommend any others that I didnt mention?

Cant comment on how you get the OZ alloys to fit on S2 111 as they were already on there when I bought it. (previous owner was head of Lotus Asia so money wasnt really a problem for him!)
You can get them from Hangar111 website and Bell and Colvill.
