Hi could anybody do me a favour and tell me what colour this lotus is? www.swisscarsightings.com/indepth/pages/indepthlo

I am currently building a kit car and have always planned on spraying it this lotus gun metal. My problem is that there seems to be different lotus gun metals. I have spent hours searching previous lotus threads on here and still can not make my mind up on which colour is which.

Also is this car www.pistonheads.com/sales/57819.htm the same colour as the above link? If so has the advertiser got it correct that the paint is Storm Titanium.

It would also be a big help if you own either a Storm Titanium, Gun Metal or Graphite Grey lotus to either post a picture or end me an email or link to a photo of your car.

Your help on this would be greatly appreciated as the car is getting sprayed at the weekend and its a little worrying that I still do not know what colour to specify.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

As it's an Exige there are limited options for paint colours. I think you'll find it's Storm Titanium as it's a light metallic finish. Graphite is a fair bit darker.

All the options are here...

Thanks, I have spent ages looking at that sight as well and couldn't decide which colour is which as this lotus is graphite grey www.pistonheads.com/sales/57655.htm which doesn't look much like the graphite grey on the lotus site. As they are a metallic the same colour grey changes so much in different lights, which I think is why I am having so much trouble deciding on the colour.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Thanks I have just downloaded the brochure and although the paint options did not download correctly I can match the pictures from the Internet with ones of the brochure. I will be spraying the car Storm Titanium!! Hopefully I will post some pictures when it it finished.

Thanks again for your help.

Definitely Storm Titanium in my humble opinion that one

The graphite grey is, well, much grey-er!

Check out the pic in my profile for another example of Storm Titanium.

Lot's of people like Exiges in the brighter colours but I think Storm looks great.

Is there a website that shows real examples of all the Elise S2 colours? All I can find is simulated representations, like on the Lotus website, which don't tell me anything (try Magnetic Blue for instance - it looks more like purple!).

Here I found this, the real cars and their colors(US) many colors on real cars to get a better idea what to choose...

Hello Folks,

Anyone have a photo or link they can post showing a Quartz-colored Elise, a standard color available a few years back?

Cheers,

Kevin
