Lotus Club International
Discussion
How do's?
How many here are members of Lotus Club International? What's your take on it all? Well worth it, undecided or ain't gonna go there..?
Also, have heard little bits about sports exhaust upgrade offer to Club members at present... is that right? "New customers only" or what's the deal with that?

If you go to all the dealer open days you can probably get all the magazines for free! The content is very much style over substance and all the offers seem to be on very expensive items (eg: crates of vintage wine, road trips staying at 5 star hotels etc). Plus being part of Lotus most of it is a PR job but if that's your thing then go ahead, it's just not for me.
When I originally joined Nick Adams was providing a great deal of feedback on the website. The magazine is rather sycophantic and the offers out of date.
Nick was then moved onto other things and the whole enterprise became rather lame.
After about 2 years, just as my membership came up for renewal, the revamped website was launched. The magazine remains predominantly sycophantic drivel with the odd good article and some nice photos. As mentioned above the offers remain useless and the website looks prettier, though some areas have still not been updated since launch.
The good news is Nick is back, and it is arguable that access to this mans knowledge is worth the subscription alone. You also get 10% discount on merchandise and AON insurance so this can also justify the membership fee.
All in all I feel it is generally poor but if you can afford the luxury or require the discount then you might as well.
It is a shame really it good be fantastic (especially for the money).
