Does anybody know if the Exige Cup wheels are lighter than those on the standard Exige, and if so by how much?

Thanks. I just wondered because Merritts Lotus have a Cup advertised with lightweight alloys, 6.6kgs lighter, but they look like the standard wheels in the photo.

Maybe a daft question but does that mean they are lighter?

Yes. The S2000 is a fantastic car that ticks almost all of the boxes, most of the time, but has never made me want to go out and drive for absolutely no reason the way that my Elise did.

Did the Honda ever break down?

Leak?

Steam up?

Rattle?

Will you miss your sun visors? I know I miss mine!

So, I may be confused but this is what I think the situation is:
Standard Cup Alloys at 32kgs/set
Lotus Motor Sport Oz racing rims at 28kgs/set
Cup 240 R five spoke rims at ???

ANy other alternatives in the light weight category?

No, but neither did my Elise!

Don't get me wrong, I think the S2000 is more than adequate in every department but it lacks the excitement that the Lotus provided on every single journey.

There is also the super sports pack wheels. Also on the Sports Racer Elise.

They are the split seven spoke wheels and are forged. I seem to remember they are about 8 kilo lighter per set.

The Lotus website has them, they say how much per front wheel and per rear wheel
