Looks like new models arriving soon!!!!!

http://forums.seloc.org/viewthread.ph

Elise R 23,995 OTR 143BHP with Touring Pack as standard

Coming to a dealers near you by the summer....

New Espirit will probably have the BMW V10 engine, approx 550hp but thats quite sketchy

Europa will follow with the Europa S which unlike the current version will have the new GM VXR turbo unit producing about 240Hp. Apparently Lotus have a shed load of GM iron block Turbo engines as used in the VX Turbo to use up in the Europa.

And Lotus are toying with gull wing doors for the new S3 range.

Elise R? with 143hp...is it called OTR or Elise R? because I would find that confusing...there is a 111R so they better call it Elise S or St(standard) the 143hp will be the new entry car then I guess.

The new Esprit with BMW V10 engine would be a screemer and very good for Lotus! and their owners, just imagine a 550ps engine in a lightweight Esprit...

And the Europa should also get the 265ps engine that the new opel(vauxhall) GT gets...

Gulwing doors for the new S3 range??? very nice! and even more special but then I gues they will be more like the aftermarket style gulwing doors? that way the Elise also could fit them...because "real"gulwing doors ala merc gulwing SL you need a permanent roof?
Also like the Lambo style Bat doors...but I think the most nice solution brings K'egg with their nice way of opening the doors...or, do it like BMW Z1 did long time ago, you can keep the high sills? entry level and let the doors drop into that like the Z1...but I guess thats to much and asking for trouble.
Maybe they do it M250 style, they have that in house, only have to make it "cheap" and not that big as the origenal M250?

Ah, thanks so Elise R still stands then...we will have to wait till summer then...
And the S3,I wonder when they will bring that out, 2007? very exciting...so they give the excisting Elise's Exige's a few "easy" modifications(like the Exige S), and then end of this year bring out a conceptcar that is almost ready to produce and then 2007 bring out the S3?

S3 sounds interesting. Still want an M250 though. Perhaps the S3 will make up for the disappointment that is the Europa.

GIVE ME AN M250!

...Okay rant over.

Actualy, I think they will look at that "want to have the M250" factor! that could explain the study agai on the wingdoors...and the more power they wanted to put in! my guess is for the closed version starting with a modest 240hp

I hope you're right, I was sorry to pull out of my Europa order but it was too bland & in my opinion too expensive. I'm sure there are plenty who may disagree and I'm sure it drive wells but it just doesn't have that wow factor.

I think its very quiet around the Europa? I must say the more pics I see around it the more I get used to that car, it not have the wow factor but its ok I guess.
They also have to set up a "new" forum around that I suppose? or will they bring it under the Elise/Exige/340R forum?? thats gona be a long name then, but they are all having almost the same undertray/frame? alu chassis build...so I suppose on that ground it could fit here and that way we also hear a lot about it?! I hope to see and read what it is to own one and to drive and does it offere the things you thought it would, and is it besides the engine(opel) much a different animal?

Maybe it'll be grandfathered into the VX220T+2 forum.
