I know there is alot spoken about this already, but as a S2 elise 111s new boy I need some advice please.
I'm going for the Janspeed sport exhaust but also want to change the induction setup. to be honest it is more for the noise effect than anything and if I'm right the K&N 57i is the best for this, but I'm concerned about the talk of it taking in hot air from the engine, is this something to be worried about, ie will it damage anything, or is it not a problem. Cheers, Paul.

its not gonna cause any damage. Alledgedly you may lose bhp, but I don't think anyone has properly tested this theory. You could also put some ducting in yourself from the intake.

I would go for a Hurricane cold air intake - around £150. The ITG on is nice in carbon fibre but is £350 for the same system.

Some people have gone for the K&N and then home made cold air ducting from B & Q - a bit heath robinson IMHO ...when youve just spent £28K on a car then putting a flower pot and some air con tubing in your engine bay for the sake of £80 more for a proper system !

if youre in the south east then Sinclaires (Romford)www.lotusrepairs.com can do either system at a good price

cheers
