Hi people

Now the car is a second car only, going to get myself a car cover (more specifically; a birthday present. Even better).

Anyway, whenever anyone's asked this question before I've been first to pipe in and recommend classic additions. Ihad a cover from them about 5 yrs ago for a different car and it was FANTASTIC.

But, I thought I'd see what the general consensus is? I'm after a soft indoor car cover!

Thanks all
Tony

I've got a Lotus one that I bought 6 years ago for an Elise. Was going to buy a new one when I got the Exige but the Elise one fits perfectly well. Use it all the time and as it is now 6 years old it is very durable as it is still in excellent condition.

Got a specialised one myself, out door, in green, fantastic bit of kit. PAying £12 to join SELOC is worth it just for the 15% off @ Specialised Car Covers, if not for any other reason.

Tony,

I've just got one from carcoversuk.com. Well I've ordered it, it's yet to arrive. They were fairly good during ordering, they've customised mine to include a velcro slit for the aerial on the S1 Exige as I didn't want to have to remove the areal every time I wanted to put the dust cover on. This way I can choose to or choose not to.

Looking forward to its arrival.

I think you'll find that carcoversuk.com and specialised car covers are the same company wink

When I enquired for the S1 Exige, they said their pattern doesn't usually have an aerial slit in it, but one could be added for me at no cost.... I'm still awaiting its arrival though, it should have been made by now, just waiting for it to get here smile Can't wait smile

Oh excellent thanks guys - I really wanted to go with classic additions but at something like £70 more just can't justify it! If the others are just as good then woohoo

I'll order something today!

(oh, all being well, I'll be taking some shots of the new toy tonight! Been driving it solidly in the rain .... hehe)

Ugh, too many late nights, I keep forgetting that's their web address. Didn't ask for it in mine, but it came with it anyway, for 111R. Only problem with them, is where to put them when they are soaking wet and they are a pain in the arse to take off when windy (or put on).

I have some pics (sad really isn't it!) of the specialised outdoor cover on my Exige. If anyone wants them e-mailing, let me know.

Tony

I have a loevly fleece cover which the previous owner always stored his car under in the garage (having lovingly washed and polished it first) after every run. It's got elise printed on it...

I've never used it

Would you be interested in it (or more details on it) as I was just going to bang it on ebay next week?

haha, that's what I call timing!

I litearlly, about half an hour ago, got off the phone having ordered one. I've ordered the full mega custom fit one from Classic Additions, deciding that the extra £35 was well worth it and I've used them before and they've been brilliant so wanted to use them again.

So, thanks very much indeed for the offer, but I'll say no on this occasion now biggrin

Thanks also to everyone else for your advice - much appreciated.
