My Lotus warranty finishes at the end of the month and was considering the AA warranty. Am I correct that it's £60 per annum and then £60 excess for every claim ?

no, £60 per year (if you already have aa membership) and £25 excess, upto 5 claims per year.
Best £60 i`ve ever spent! Saved my bacon more than once! You`d be daft not to.

Thanks, sounds good for the money. Is it £400 max per year ?

I've got one of these but never had to put it to the test. How does it work when you have a problem? Do AA sort everything and you just pay the excess or do you have to pay and then claim it back from the AA?

Theyve just done my HG. They come and recover the car. You turn up and pick it up and pay whatever it is over £475! Job done.

Does this cover things like blown rads etc? Is it worth it on an S2 Exige? My Lotus warranty runs out soon and theres no way I'm going to pay nigh on £500 a year.

As far as I know, it covers anything that the AA say makes your car unsafe to drive. so rad blown would be a yes!

I think it only covers anything that prevents you from completing your journey and not something like a jammed window or broken fan etc. Best to check but I'm sure that's what I read.

So, if your rad goes make sure you are in the middle of a journey wink

Spoke to a guy from the AA on the phone who gave me an example of claiming for a battery ? He said £25 excess would be cheaper than buying a battery.....which is true. I'm sure the small print is similar on all warranties ?
