Clutch slip when cold on Elise S2

Hello folks.

My brother recently bought a low milage S2. One issue we've come across is when the engine is cold the clutch slips like buggery, but after only a couple of miles / few minutes you can be agressive in a high gear at low speed and it won't slip at all.

Before we start to investigate too far... is this something that's affects others, or just our anomoly ?

Not a common problem so I'd get it checked out.
