Driving into work this morning on the M3 and out of no where comes some kind of debris from the car in front. No where to go other than a straight line so couldn't avoid it and it bounced straight into the front frown

Took this photo of it this morning. The two white marks in the centre are the damaged areas and you can see the black mark under the headlight. Totally Gutted.

Anyone recommend a good place to get it sorted?

Cheers,

Kirky

The black mark looks like it might rub off and I'd get a touch up pen from Eliseparts and DIY carefully if they're as small as the look. Other option might be chipsaway or similar - not worth giving that to a paintshop IMO.

Probably me just over reacting but pretty gutted.

The photo doesn't really show the marks too well.

I'll have a go with a touch up pen, just hope you can't tell.

Plus I was supposed to be testing the A31 out this morning instead of the effin M3

If there's scratches as well as the chips, get someone like chipsaway in, they'll get rid of stuff you can't - starts from about £60 I think.

The problem with DIY is that you'll know it's there even if no-one else can see it. Try and get a recommendation (poost in General Gassing for a local one) as chipsaway and the like are a franchise and quality varies.

The way I look at it, an Elise WILL get stone chipped so what's the point in bothering. It wont affect the way it drives and that's all that matters to me.

These aren't stone chips though. They're two gouges that the photo doesn't really show.

Sorry for wanting to look after my pride and joy.

Cant blame you Andy. Why not clean the front of the car properly and touch
them and any others in for now, im sure as you step back you will hardly
notice them then.
Budget around £400 for a nose respray and enjoy without worry until then smile
