I dont think you are old enough....

Seriously, I have met some lovely members and been to some great meetings but where the BoLOCs are fueled by petrol and adrenalin, these guys rely on warm tea from a thermos.

Yee haa!

Personally Club Lotus has always been worth the money to me.

The magazine and the club in general do have to cover the complete range of Loti so there are often articles/speakers that focus on a Lotus that isn't of that much interest to me personally, but is to someone else. However, on balance the club offers tremendous opportunities. I've been privileged to have informal meals with Tony Shute (Elise/Exige/2-11 god father), Brian Angus (Esprit god father), Mike Costin (co founder of Cosworth), Bill Allen (LeMans winner and father of James Allen) and many others. If Lotus is your thing then there should be something for you there.

Also don't forget that Club Lotus hosts the Castle Coombe track day and allow all Lotus owners entry for free.

My advice is go along to you local meeting and see if you like it. They don't check if you have paid up before letting you in.

The most important thing is of course to enjoy you Lotus.

Regards,
Peter.

Well said Peter. Completely agree. Got a good deal on insurance through FJ for the Esprit when I had it due to CL.
Shame some people have to dismiss such services that CL offer as being for the older and more hirsute....these are the same people who have extended the rediculous Eagle topic to 13 pages of total conjecture.

Do you have Lotus in your soul?? - I love all Lotus models - early ones take more BoLloCs to drive than the modern ones - owned 'em from 20 years old - after 14 of the beggers still never purchased a thermos flask wink - and been a Club Lotus member for oh... move on there please winksmile
