Oh no frowneek

Hope he's ok.

For those that aren't members of SELOC;

"This is an extremely difficult post for me to write but I know that the news is now filtering through the lotus community.

Mark aka Bogie was seriously injured in a RTA last week whilst driving his elise. Since the accident Mark has been in intensive care where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

I appreciate there will be the inevitable questions about what happened etc but at this stage we are not in full possession of the facts and investigations continue so would ask out of respect for Mark and his family that people refrain from discussions regarding this on the BB at this difficult time.

On behalf of myself and Mark's family I would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and best wishes that have been sent through"

For those able to relay a message to him and his family:-

Bogie, my best wishes and if there is any way I can help then please ask. Until I hear from you, you are in my thoughts.

I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

Never met you, but feel I know some small part of you. Hope that you're getting better ever as I type this, just remember that a drip stand / IC bed will not corner in the same way as the lotus and hence the nurses can't be "had in the corners" so to speak!

Good luck, thoughts are with you and yours.

All the best Mark for a swift recovery. I've only met you the once and you were kind enough to let me sit in with you for some laps at Bedford in the Honda'd beast.
Thoughts to the family

First post back on here for a while, but given the circumstances...

Bogie aka Mark is the person who replied to the very first post I ever made on an online forum - here on pistonheads. He is one of the most genuine people and decent people you could hope to meet and represents what is best about the lotus community. I can only hope and pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery. Thoughts must be with him, Sarah and all their friends and family.

It's a shame toe hear of this, but it's a measure of his popularity, that the thread on SELOC wishing him well is the fastest growing one I have seen. I hope he gets well soon.

Genuinely saddened to hear this. Although I've not met bogie as yet his genuine helpfulness and enthusiasm makes him one of the people in the Lotus community I've been looking forward to meeting.

I don't think there's a person out there that doesn't have something good to say about him, one of the nicest blokes I've met on any forum.

Here's to a speedy recovery and I hope to see pictures of leopard skin bedlinen, chromed frame and a subwoofer next to the chamberpot in his ward - then we'll know he's on the mend

I read this thread at work at lunch time and it has been in my thoughts all day.
Even though I have never had the fortune to meet bogie, I have always been interested in his views, opinions and cars here on pistonheads. I just had to post to wish you, bogie, all the best and I hope you make a quick recovery.

Get well soon.
