Decat power gain?

My 05 111S has a Larini club sport and an ITG filter. Its quietened
down a lot now its sooted up a little.
A Hanger111 decat pipe with 02 boss is around £50, could I expect
any power gains or just noise?

Anyone have a clue what bhp it would have right now? 165 ish?

No power gain, just noise. Same BHP as before

I was under the impression (from reading threads on here) that decatting a VVC engine reduces the power by a significant margin because the VVC mechanism somehow relies on the back-pressure generated by the car.

you'll lose a few (literally 2 or 3) horses with a decat on a VVC.

PS, if you search you will find a website devoted to the MGF, where they did lots of testing with standard cats, sports cats and no cats. Meeeow
