Hi,

Just been for a look at an 06 Elise 111R - and what a car - completley blew me away! an incredible machine!

I was wondering what the service intervals were? and what are the general prices of services?

Also, are there any good indepdendants in the Bristol/Swindon area for them?

I'd also be interested in knowing what advantages the 2006 model has over the 04/05 Toyota engined ones? Is it worth getting a newer car?

Also - is the 111R Touring a good spec to get? It had air con and those probac seats, so seemed a good spec, for an Elise anyway - but didn't have traction control - is this a problem.

Any hints or tips gratefully recieved..

06 Car has Probax seats, LEDs and fly by wire throttle. I have one (my second Elise) heavily recommend it, easier to live with basically. (Less rattles, comfy seats, radio aerial that works when car is moving...)

Just had the 9K service c300 (including brake fluid change). will need some rear tyres next month (c250). That's it cost wise for 11K miles in the 9 months I've had the car.

I decided against MY06 (although I'd of liked probax seats), due to the number of problems with the LED lamp units. I've got an MY05, use it as an every day car, very happy with it, apart from the lights, just been replacing them this afternoon.

Servicing goes: A A B A A C, every 9000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes up first. Prices vary somewhat, but the SELOC Wiki gives you an idea on pricing.
