Hi, was driving today and lifted the indicator arm and it went up into position and nothing? All other electrics are working and so are the hazard lights. What do I need to get to fix it? New indicator relay?

Please help PH Massive!

Cheers

Thats probably the first technical question that has been posted on here without a response. Perhaps no-one knows the answer hence no replies??

Check fuse / relay first.

Otherwise could be the indicator itself - does the 'flash' and full beam work on the same stalk?

I had a simlar thing go on an old Ford of mine; had to replace the indicator stalk, which isn't actually a difficult job at all.

You take the housing off the top and pull "up" both the indicator and wiper arms (they're the same unit) and put the new one down. At least that's how it was on an Escort Cosowrth!

Do they hazard lights work?

Nothing like insinuating that people dont know the answer to a question to provoke a response.laugh

Not only that but you never even read his post properly, he told you the hazard lights were ok. Your standards are slipping Mr Hetherington.
I am sure i mispelt "insinuating" but my standards have always been low.laugh

oh cock.

Ok, so if hazards are working that means it's got to be the lever itself.

Aren't they the levers out of a vauxhall something-or-other?

yep, any Vauxhall garage can supply new stalks - about £20 I think

Out of a Corsa I think, seem to remember seeing them for £14 somewhere.

Mine did this when I first got it. Pressed the hazard button about 20-30 times really quickly, hazards burst into life, been fine since.

Apparently dodgy contact on the switch messes it up. Once you've cleared teh dust all is good again.

Edit - just seen your hazards work, scrap that then
