Removing rear view mirror - Exige

Given you can't see out of it and i don't have to have it there legally, has anybody tried removing it ? A quick look seems to indicate it is not "stuck" on. Anybody any suggestions ?

Yep, removed mine from Exige S as you can't see anything at all. If you look from the outside you should see a clip hidden in the bracket, you need to push this up to release the lock (credit card worked for me). Then you slide the mirror off the mount, took ages on mine lots of wiggling it to get it free. The mount stays attached to the windscreen.

Be very careful doing this as one slip or push too hard & you'll see yourself having to replace the screen. Not a nice job.

Yup took mine off, but just pulled it off at the ball - there was zero point in it being there, but to be able to see the engine move so much

Mirror off - knuckles scraped. No change there then !
