After nearly 4.5 happy years I traded the Elise in last week - found it for sale at Adrian Blyth's yesterday.

Throughly enjoyed my time with the car, but with my family growing up, the times I needed a few more seats and a few more comforts were becoming more apparant.
I didn't post that much on here, but used to visit the forum a few times a week.
Sadly never made a BOLOC's run either despite being on the south coast
Met some decent people on here, SELOC and Lotus-on-Track so
to all of you.
I've gone for a SEAT Leon Cupra - reasons?
Latin styling, German engineering and an eastern bloc price tag
Hope to return to the fold one day - something like an Exige S would fit the bill nicely.
Take it easy fellas.

Well the Cupra has only done about 150 miles to date and is as tight as a nuns's chuffty box at the moment - also I am on an all day stag doo tomorrow and therefore will be a waste of space on Sunday - but thanks for the kind offer
Mr Boobles - glad your are enjoying your Clio - I had a 16 valve mk1 Clio many years ago; same colour as the Williams version

get a few miles on it ready for the first Goodwood Breakfast club run then

I had a good run out in mine today; cool, sunshine, twisty country roads that I know well, flicking around the gearbox as the road unrolls and the engine changes note, it singing away as the car pushes and sets me back in my seat as life gets exponentially faster. Running through your vision on the state of the road, the next bend, beyond it, looking for movement then back to the bend to get your speed right as you meet the limit point and scissor through the bend. The wheel jiggling in your light grip, feeling nervous and needing control but rewarding you with pinsharp accuracy. The light weight translating your movements from eye to hand and foot to chassis, suspension tyres and speed.
You'll be back.
You'll be back.
Just had a really good hour-long blat in Ms S Works new 350Z roadster, and I must admit to being very, very impressed.
The engine is a thing of beauty, so much torque and sounds utterly superb woofling along, then gets very vocal as you accelerate. And it's quick too, very quick once it's up on it's toes.
Very predictable handling, very adjustable on the limit and superbly screwed together. I've not driven a 987 but I've driven an S2000 and for my money, I can't really understand how anyone who's a petrolhead who can fail to fall in love with it. A great package.
So if anyone's out there considering moving to something a bit softer, but wants a superb sportscar, give a 350Z a try.
