With the introduction of the introduction of the Exige Sport Cup 260 in begs to ask the questions:

1. Are they intending to still produce it;

2. If they are with the price of the 260 Cup around the level that it was anticipated the GT3 would be sold at, logic dictates that it will cost closer to £70,000 and at that sort of money who is going to pay that for an Exige, no matter how good it may be?

Maybe Lotus realise that themselves and will let the project die quietly

There's no point in it now - the race car died after Cadena got fed up of all the blow ups,and I doubt SRO are going to chase for homologation.

well, there's the rub...

Homologation papers have been lodged, so if you want to run in GT (anywhere) you are stuck to what's in the paperwork.... (ie, the one that goes BANG)...

unless Lotus commit to doing the paperwork for updates, your screwed if you want to run one...

My sentiments exactly. At close to 70k, Lotus can let the GT3 die however they like - early next year that'll buy a 997GT3, and already this year it'll buy a 996 GT3 RS. Reckon it's time to ask for my deposit back from B+C.

I dont think the GT3 race car is in a very healthy state, it's been dropped by cadena, and it seems it's all gone very quiet on that front.

The cup 260 price is in euro's i believe, a couple of ppl have posted to that effect, haven't checked myself though, although i thought the cup 255 was not available in the UK, since this is a basically a 2008 update of that car does that also mean no UK?

I did like the look of the GT3, but lotus needed to give it around 290/300hp to really make an impact.

Don't see how that price can be Euros unless it excludes VAT because at £42,000 that would make it cheaper than an Exige S with the sports pack
