Replacement Filter and tyre recommendations please!
Discussion
Hey guys
I have pulled my Elise out of hibernation and am busy preparing her for the new year's campaign. I have also been out of the scene for the past months, doing other stuff, so I'm a bit out the loop and trying to get back in, hope you can help.
I want to get a new air filter for the car, it's an S2 Sport 135, but I'm confronted with quite a varied choice of filters. I would like to get to ITG one that fits into the standard air box, but does anyone have a recommendation that would suit the Sport 135 better?
Also, I need new tyres cause the current ones are embarrassingly shagged and tatty, they're the Bridgestone Potenzas that I like so much. ANyone got any suggestions again before I go and do the predictbale thing and buy Potenzas again?
There seems to be a wealth of exciting new products, so guys, tell me what you know please!!
Oh yeah, one more thing, I live in Bristol, anyone know of a good specialist to get her serviced? Needs a cautionary cam belt change, and I am loathe to take it to those gangsters at Williams, they've ripped me off once too many times.
THANKS

Air filter? Either replace the panel filter with a good K&N or ITG one, or swap the whole lot for a Hurricane or ITG kit.
Tyres? The weapons of choice appear to be the Yokohama AD07's which are now the OEM fitment direct from the factory, and favoured by many on here and SELOC.
Specialist near you? Steve Williams in Maidenhead. Bit of a drive, but I've never heard anything but positive recommendations for his work in the 4 years of ownership I've had.

Have just fitted an ITG Maxogen induction kit into my Type 25 S2 this week and although it cost a bit it was worth it.Previous to fitting it I had a K&N Induction kit fitted and there was a stark difference in performance between the two, especially the initial pick up of the engine. The people at ITG are really helpful too, give them a call and they will answer any questions you might have. The ITG unit is kinder to your engine too.Listen to me,and I don't even work for ITG,lol, just one very impressed customer.A word of caution though if you're fitting one yourself as I did it is tricky because of the cramped area your working in,but it can be done.See my pic it has my ITG Maxogen filter shown.Sorry can't help you with tyre choice I'm still deliberating myself, although the Yoko's seem the way to go.
